Description from the seller

Monumental Antique Centre Table – circa 1860

Large monumental antique centre / dining table, carved solid wood, Europe, circa 1860.

This impressive table stands on a richly carved central pedestal with four sculptural legs ending in lion’s paw feet. The column and arms are decorated with deep floral and acanthus carvings. The quality of the carving, the hand-cut joints and the heavy solid wood construction are characteristic of mid-19th century European craftsmanship.

The round top is made of solid wood boards and shows a beautiful aged patina.

Important note

This table is extendable in construction, however the original central extension leaf is missing.
Therefore, the table is sold and used as a regular fixed table.
No additional leaves are included.

Condition

Good antique condition with visible signs of age and use: surface wear, small scratches, patina and minor marks consistent with its age. The structure is solid and stable.

Material

Solid wood (likely beechwood or oak)

Dimensions

(please insert diameter × height in cm)
