Description from the seller
Vintage magazine holder – wood & metal – Amsterdam School style – c. 1950–1960
Very handsome vintage magazine rack made in warm dark wood, combined with a black metal support bracket. The design is sleek, functional and powerful in form, clearly inspired by the Amsterdam School style, in which craftsmanship, geometry and material expression are central.
The construction consists of layers of wooden side panels and a solid base plate, with a metal brace in between that provides stability and a striking graphic accent. The rounded shapes and the contrast between wood and black metal give this object a distinctive mid-century character.
This type of reading rack is both practical and decorative and fits perfectly in an interior with a vintage, modernist, or Scandinavian accent.
