Icarette 6x6cm folding camera c1920 (Serial F 4385), tested and working.
Description from the seller
The ICA A.G. company from Dresden began in 1909 as a result of a merger of Hüttig, Krügener, Wünsche, and Carl Zeiss Palmos.
The offered camera is an Icarette, a horizontal folding-bed camera (Folding-bed) for 120 roll film and 12 negatives 6x6 cm, and was produced around 1920. Thus, 105 years ago.
The camera has serial number: F4385
The camera is in reasonably good condition and is equipped with an Ica-Novar f/6.8 7.5 cm lens in an Ica shutter with speeds T, B, 1/25 s, 1/50 s and 1/100 s.
All speeds work great. The B and T modes as well.
Sharpening is done by pushing (on the right side) on a round serrated metal ball and then pushing it forward or backward.
The Zoeker Libelle with a mirror is still very clear.
A recording reel is also present.
A small note: to open the camera, there is at the top middle a small half-moon notch. Press there and the folding bed folds open.
To open the rear panel for film loading, press the two serrated half-wheels on the right side of the camera at the same time and pull the rear panel loose.
This centenarian, over 100 years old, may not be the prettiest anymore, but with a little love and care for its preservation it can shine again in any classic camera collection.
Will be securely and carefully packed and shipped with a Track & Trace number.
NOTE:
I always ship my goods with a Track & Trace number and insurance (to cover potential damage and/or theft)
Please note that for those reasons shipping costs may be somewhat higher.
Anyone who cannot agree with this, please refrain from placing bids.
Thank you in advance.
