Hafez - Diwan - 1708

A fine Diwan manuscript page from the most famous Sufi poet, Hafez dated AH120, which translates to 1708/9. The page has been recovered from a largely damaged folio, however, this folio is in very good condition with no signs of damage and little wear. This is a good example of the finer editions of the Dewan, with a very attractive layout of blue cartouches dividing the folio and gold clouds dividing the text. The reverse has blue cartouche dividing the text and is mounted such that you could use display either depending on your preference. This would make a very fine addition to any collection of poetic manuscripts of Hafez.
