A vintage piece from around 1870/1900, Art Nouveau, handmade, with embroidered squares on fine linen and lace made with linen thread on a shuttle.
Entirely handmade with pieces of Englishwork embroidery on fine linen, others in bobbin lace.
The piece features four distinct types of squares arranged diagonally across the room/space.
It was intended to cover a bed but could be repurposed for many other uses such as a tablecloth, curtains, or draped over a sofa…
