Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Three Neolithic flint arrow tips from Mali, Néolithique, dating to 5200–2500 BC, in orange coloured flint, lengths 3.2–4.4 cm, in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Museum quality!
Magnificent set of 3 arrowheads. In colored flint, authentic from the Neolithic period.
From the Ténéré region.
Very high-quality tips of a nice size. Very good condition.
Varied shapes in beautiful materials. Very fine retouching showing the dexterity and talent of the prehistoric craftsman. These points are little jewels of goldsmithing.
Beautiful desert patina.
Arrowheads in orange flint, such as the one with fins and a peduncle, are rare. It is one of the most aesthetically pleasing materials used for Neolithic arrowheads in my view, because they take on an incredible glossy patina, and the quality of the retouching and the fineness stand out perfectly.
Three different typologies. A beautiful, large, leaf-shaped and denticulate point. One with fins and a peduncle in a beautiful orange-colored flint that is very glossy, and the last with fins and a square peduncle.
Rare piece in very good condition.
Length: from 3.2 cm to 4.4 cm.
Origin: Africa, Mali-Ténéré.
The lot comes from an old private collection purchased at an auction.
