Description from the seller

A nautical watch in the shape of a brass hatch, made in France in the second half of the 20th century.

It is a watch designed on a marine porthole fabricated entirely in solid brass with a brushed finish that exhibits a natural patina. The dial features clear Arabic numerals with a secondary dial in 24-hour format.

Emulates the watertight porthole of a vessel. It features a functional bezel with a side hinge and a butterfly latch that allows it to be opened. Originally, it was used in cabins or command bridges for coordination at sea. Today, its current use centers on nautical or industrial design environments, functioning as a wall element with great historical significance.
