The piece features decorative work inspired by rocaille, with a richly chiseled border adorned with vegetal motifs and scrolls, demonstrating careful artisanal craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Despite the ornamental language rooted in the nineteenth century, the official dating allows placing the piece’s execution in the twentieth century, it is probably datable to the mid-twentieth century (c. 1938–1960), integrating a phase of historicist revivalism in Portuguese jewelry.
