LEGO Set - 6970 - Space - Beta-1 Command Base

The LEGO 6970 set is the Beta I Command Base from the classic Space theme, originally released in 1980.

All LEGO parts are complete, with no cracks or discoloration; the set comes with the original outer and inner boxes, without the original plastic inlay and with the original manual (see photos).

The LEGO and the box show no discoloration from sunlight and come from a smoke-free environment.
All flaps are present; the outer box has tears at the corners and some old tape marks (see photos); the plastic inlays are missing.

This set includes the command base, a small spacecraft that can lift off from a launch platform, a moon buggy, and a small "monorail" system that connects the base to the launch platform, plus 4 minifigures (two red and two white astronauts) with accompanying air tanks and helmets and accessories.

The set is complete and comes with the original building instructions and all rare parts such as the LEGO space flag, a transparent cup, the original bricks with various space-themed prints, the rare light-gray feet and the pointed light-gray antenna, and the pointed 1 x 6 x 5 blue brick with the LL2079 rocket & moon print.
