Description from the seller
Large Chinese blue-and-white vase with iron-red 'flower motif' - Tianqiuping style - 20th century
A highly decorative and large Chinese porcelain vase, crafted in the classic Tianqiuping (Celestial Bowl) form. The vase features a vivid decoration of curling lotus and peony scrolls, with underglaze blue masterfully combined with overglaze iron-red (copper-red) accents.
The neck and shoulder are adorned with traditional 'Ruyi' edging and a classic Greek meander pattern, which provides a refined frame for the floral motifs. The bottom features a blue four-character 'Yongzheng' mark inside a double square; this is regarded as an apocryphal mark, appropriate for a 20th-century production.
Material: porcelain.
Decoration: flower garlands in blue and iron red.
Style: Tianqiuping (globular vase).
Marking: Four-character Yongzheng mark (apocryphal).
Condition: Very good. No chips, cracks, or restorations visible. Minimal light signs of use, including a single superficial scratch and a small glaze flaw, see photos.
Dimensions: approx. 53 cm high and 34 cm wide.
In good condition with light signs of use, including a single superficial scratch in the glaze.
