Description from the seller
Rare Set of 12 Wine Glasses – Probably Saint-Louis Manufacture (France)
Splendid set of 12 red wine glasses in French crystal of the very highest quality, attributed to the prestigious Saint-Louis crystal glassworks. The glasses are distinguished by their exceptional brilliance and the crystal-clear sound typical of high-end Alpine craftsmanship.
Decoration: Refined acid-etched engraving featuring a garland motif of laurel leaves, ribbons, and neoclassical pendants. An enduring design that unites geometric rigor with floral elegance.
Shape: The wide and deep bowl is perfect for highlighting the bouquet of structured red wines, but it also lends itself perfectly as a water goblet for a formal table setting.
The set is in excellent condition, with no chips or signs of significant wear. The crystal retains its original luster and clarity.
Why buy them
A full 12-piece set of this quality is a rarity on the antiques market. It is the perfect investment for anyone seeking a table with aristocratic charm or to enrich a collection of period French glass.
Because Saint-Louis started signing pieces with the sandblasted mark only after 1936, if you don’t find the logo under the base, it’s very likely that they are pieces from before 1936.
