Description from the seller

These speakers are the Marantz HD 400/E model (the European variant of the HD400), a pair of bookshelf/standmount speakers, although often used with stands, 3-way with a bass-reflex design, manufactured in Belgium by Marantz roughly between 1982 and 1984.
Key technical features
• Type: 3-way, 3 drivers, bass reflex
• Drivers/Chasis:
• Woofer/bass → ~200 mm (8”) cone with a yellow surround (visible in the photos).
• Midrange → ~120 mm cone.
• Tweeter/highs → ~50 mm (soft dome or cone, with the characteristic yellow ring).
• Permissible power: 80 W RMS
• Impedance: 8 ohms.
• Sensitivity: 90 dB (high efficiency, easy to amplify).
• Frequency response: 50 – 20,000 Hz.
• Dimensions: approx. 265 mm (width) × 512 mm (height) × 200 mm (depth).
• Weight: Approximately 8-10 kg per speaker.
• Finish: wood veneer (walnut or similar), black front baffle.
• Connections: red/black spring clips, with a possible additional connector (visible in the rear photo).
They are mid‑range vintage speakers, known for their balanced sound, clear mids and decent bass for their compact size, ideal for rock, pop, or jazz in modest hi‑fi systems of the era. Very efficient and durable.
