- Reign: First Portuguese Republic (1910-1926).
- Inscriptions: PORTUGUESE REPUBLIC / 1916 / 50 CENTS.
- Grade: MS62 (NGC).
Obverse with the bust of the Portuguese Republic looking to the left, wearing a Phrygian cap adorned with laurel leaves and ears of corn. Perimeter inscription: REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA. Date 1916 at the bottom. Reverse with the coat of arms of Portugal centered on an armillary sphere, surrounded by two laurel branches joined by a ribbon. At the bottom, the inscription 50 CENTAVOS. Coin minted in the context of the Portuguese First Republic, a period characterized by political instability and significant economic changes. Nevertheless, this piece reflects a classic design with a strong national symbolic load. This coin is encapsulated by NGC with a grade of MS62, which guarantees its excellent condition."
