Description from the seller
Large shallow, conical, polylobed bowl in Song Dynasty celadon-glazed ceramic. The edge of the rim is slightly notched, symbolizing the shape of a lotus leaf. Inside, the entire surface is covered with four stylized flower motifs with a circle at the base.
Piece probably from the Tong'an kiln, Fujian province, Northern Song Dynasty.

Excellent condition of preservation
This cut comes from the wreck of a ship sunk in the Java Sea, discovered in the early 2000s near Pulau Buaya, hence its name “Pulau Buaya Wreck.”
The entire cargo from the wreck was purchased by an Indonesian antique dealer around 2005. He cataloged all the bowls, plates, vases, etc., with their shape, size, pattern, etc., in Indonesian, with the support of Indonesian archaeological authorities. A certificate accompanies each piece with a reference number and a photograph of the object.
Purchase of several artifacts from this shipwreck by the current owner.
Interesting to know: other bowls from the same shipwreck are currently in the castle of the Pairi Daiza zoo in Cambron-Casteau, Belgium.
Postal shipment with tracking number.
