Antique bronze jewelry box – hunting scenes – Napoléon III – 19th century



Beautiful antique jewelry box from the 19th century, the Napoleon III period (Second Empire), made of patinated bronze/copper alloy.



The box is richly decorated with finely cast hunting scenes all around, with riders, hounds and game. The lid is crowned with a reclining deer in high relief. The decoration is typical of the Second Empire style, prized for its opulent and narrative design.



The interior is originally lined with silk / velvet, indicating use as a jewelry or presentation box. Beautiful, old patina with slight signs of aging, appropriate for the age. No cracks or repairs.
