Description from the seller
Murano glass ashtray, attributed to Flavio Poli – 1950s/60s
Important sculptural ashtray in artistic Murano glass, attributed to Flavio Poli, a key figure in Murano design in the second half of the twentieth century.
The piece is made of solid, faceted glass, with an outer body in an intense magenta pink and an inner core in polished emerald green. The strong color contrast and the geometric faceting create a refined optical depth—characteristic of high-end Murano production from the 1950s–1960s, particularly the Seguso milieu associated with Flavio Poli.
The ashtray has a strong sculptural presence and substantial weight (1.9 kg), which testify to the quality of the craftsmanship and the glass used. In addition to its original function, the piece also lends itself perfectly as a centerpiece or decorative element.
Conditions
The item is in good overall condition, with signs of use consistent with its age; there are two small chips visible in the photo.
Height: approx 9 cm
Overall, the ashtray maintains an excellent aesthetic appeal and a pronounced sculptural quality.
