Shelf - Wood, real wood veneer

This shelf dates from the 1960s and has been given a new design interpretation.

The cabinet, made of warm-toned wood veneer, displays a clear, balanced mid-century design language. The surface is well kept, the grain calm and even. It has been enhanced with newly mounted slim legs in a period-typical conical shape, as well as with newly executed edge details on the sides, giving the shelf a light and elegant appearance.

The back panel has been redesigned and given a graphic composition. Black-and-white contrasts meet turquoise, purple, and rose accents, echoing the visual aesthetics of the late 1960s and early 1970s. This gives the shelf a pronounced art-object character without distorting its original shape.

The wooden floors provide a warm, calm counterpoint to the expressive back-wall design and underscore the high-quality material of the furniture.

A uniquely redesigned one-off from the 1960s that combines functional furniture with a graphic design object.

There are only minimal signs of aging and wear that emphasize the furniture’s authentic character.
