Meri Kits Lancia 037 'Martini' assemble-at scale 1:43 kit in silver, with resin and metal parts and decals for the Martini livery and Rally Bandama 1982, produced in the 1980s in Italy; in original box and in like-new condition.
Description from the seller
Rarity
It is an exceptionally rare kit, especially if it comes with intact accessories and is in good condition. This is one of the oldest Meri Kits references (produced in the 1980s), made in extremely limited editions. The combination of the Lancia 037 – one of the most beloved rally cars of the 1980s – with Rally Bandama (a race less represented in collectible models) and the driver Vudafieri makes this specimen unique
History of the car
The Lancia 037 Rally with Martini Racing livery at the Bandama Rally 1982 driven by Carlo Vudafieri and co-driven by Arnaldo Bernacchini. Although it did not win the race, this participation was part of the development program that led the 037 to win the Constructors' World Championship in 1983 – Lancia's first title in this competition. The Bandama Rally was known for its difficult stages and extreme weather conditions, which tested the performance of the cars.
Specifications
- Scale: 1:43 to assemble, with parts in resin, metal and decals for the detailed reproduction of the Martini livery and references to the Bandama Rally 1982
- Production: 1980s, Italy
- Decorations: Full livery with the details of the Vudafieri/Bernacchini car, including references to the Rally Bandama and the Martini sponsor
