The very rare Turbo marmoratus, also known as the Green Turban, Marbled Turban, or Large Green Turban, is a large species of sea snail. It has a heavy, thick shell with ridged walls around the upper whorls. The shell of the Green Turban belongs to the family Turbinidae (turban snails). It features a beautiful nacreous interior with marbled variations of green, chocolate brown, and natural ivory/brown tones.
Due to the weight of some of the larger shells, they have often been used as paperweights throughout history.
