AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

From my Leica collection comes this Leica II from 1932, with serial number 87955. It belongs to the first production run of the Leica II. It possesses the characteristics of an early Leica II, such as the distinctive covered peephole used to adjust the camera from the back. In the screw ring you’ll find the '0' as a sign that it is a standardized specimen. Both features disappeared in later series. Also the housing under the shutter-speed knob has the rounded form, and the shutter-speed knob has a larger diameter than the later models.
The exterior condition is good, the shutter speeds are still plausible.
It is evidently an export model because on the bottom plate the indicators open and close are marked. Furthermore, the bottom plate has a 1/4 inch tripod thread.
The camera is in its original condition and underwent a CLA in 2018. It has not been tested recently with a roll of film.

A fine working example, but it also doesn’t look out of place in the display cabinet, with its beautiful patina.

It is well packed and insured for shipment.
