Enzo Troiano was born in 1965.
He began his career in 1988 on the pages of a Campanian biweekly sports magazine, Sport Sud, a supplement to the daily Il Mattino. For Sport Sud, he drew caricatures and sports cartoons. Soon after, he worked for the Apulian weekly sports magazine Il Foggia and for the Campanian sports monthly Super Sport 2000. For both, he drew caricatures, sports moviola (instant replays), and tactics of football, basketball, and rugby teams. In that period he created a cover proposal for a live album by E. Avitabile, but received no response. In 1990 his first experience as a cartoonist appeared on the fanzine REJECTS, which also counted among its still-young illustrators the Bonelli-era G. Ricciardi. In these years his drawings are submitted to various publishers and industry insiders. They express their esteem to him: B. Bozzetto, M. Bartoletti (then director of Guerin Sportivo), G. Brunoro, Luca Scatasta (Star Comics), O. De Angelis (Comic Art), R. Traini and many others. In these years he produces many samples for Sergio Bonelli Editore.

In 1992 he is contacted by Ade Capone for the comic book series: Lazarus Ledd. After an initial exploratory approach, he is sent by Roberto De Angelis to perfect the art. In 1993 he is approached by Micro Art of Naples, then emerging, to become a partner and art director. In 1994 the zero issue of Engaso 0.220 is released, the first comic completely produced in Naples. E. Troiano creates for this publication all the covers of the series (nine issues in total): the zero issue, the first issue. Two pages in the Lucca special and eight pages for the special “Game Over.”

In 1995 he wins in Prato, finishing second in the country’s only and most important national contest for debuting comics artists.
In 1997 his winning story from Prato is published in Micro Art magazine: “Balto.”
In 1998, the same story, under the title “Land of Azor,” is published by the prestigious American magazine “Heavy Metal.”
In 2000, the publishing house “Eidos” published his comic “Berlino 1999” with scripts by Riccardo Bruno.
In those same years he created covers for the publisher “Isola dei Ragazzi,” worked for the Giffoni Film Festival and for the publisher “DiMauro.”

In 2001, at the University of Fisciano (Salerno), he taught comic drawing to university students, alternating over four days with D. Bigliardo, G. Palumbo, and S. Tamiazzo.

In 2002 he signed a contract for the publication of five volumes (hardcover) with the French publisher Pointe Noire. Unfortunately the publisher went bankrupt shortly after the first publication entitled “Shinedome.” In 2003 the French publishing house “Jet Stream Productions” buys the rights to “Shinedome” and “Helrod,” but to date they have not published them. In the same period, right there in Angoulême in France, he meets Claude Moliterni, whom he greatly admired and with whom he becomes a close friend. In 2004 the book “La Profezia d’Arcadueò” is released by the Italian publisher “Albatros,” and from then on a fruitful collaboration begins that will, in the following two years, lead to the release of three more books (“Alberi,” “Taoma” and “Da grande voglio fare il viaggiatore”) illustrated by E. Troiano in collaboration with his brother Gianmaria and three comics titled “Korea 2145” (2005), “Lufer” (2006) and “Eracle 91” (2007). In 2007 a productive collaboration begins that leads him to illustrate more than 60 books, with the English Beehive Illustrations. In September 2005 he wins the Italian newcomer of the year award at the important “Fumetti in TV” in Treviso, the Carlo Boscarato Prize. In 2006 he receives a nomination for best graphic novel at the “Gran Guinigi” prize in Lucca for the comic “Lufer.” He repeats in 2007 with “Eracle 91” for which he receives nominations in Treviso and Lucca. In 2008 he receives, at Acaya (Lecce), a prestigious career award; he publishes for “Nicola Pesce Editore” in the magazine “Monstars” and in 2009 in the magazine “Cosplay” the comic “Shinedome.”

Also in 2009, Bottero Edizioni releases the first tome titled “Harcadya” and in the same year he creates a story for Tunuè in the magazine “MONO.” In 2010 he is invited by Vincenzo Cerami to join the important initiative: “The greatest comic authors in Spoleto, for Abruzzo.” Also in 2010, he creates the official album for the festival “Comicon” titled: “The Dream,” a 4-page story that establishes a temporal link between the first and second volumes of Harcadya. La Deda Edizioni, in the same year, releases, after only four years, the first reprint of the editorial success: “Korea 2145.”

In 2011 he produced the second part of "Harcadya" in co-edition between Wombat Edizioni and Bottero Edizioni.
