Refined antique table clock made in the Boulle style, with an elegant veneered wooden case and finely inlaid, enriched by carefully chased gilded bronze appliqués. The shapes, the decorations, and the ornamental richness evoke classical French decorative taste, much appreciated in high-end furnishings.
The decorated dial features Roman numerals and shaped hands, enclosed by a rich bronze frame. The lower front section is embellished with ornamental bronze figures, typical of high-quality mantel clocks.
The summit is crowned by a dramatic bronze sculpture depicting a winged cherub playing music, a decorative element of great charm.
There is damage to the upper part of the cabinet, visible in the photo, easy and quick to restore, purely cosmetic and not affecting the clock's operation or its structural integrity (see the photos, which are an integral part of the description).
