Subject: Representation of Christ with hands crossed over the chest, a symbol of humility and devotion.

Execution quality: Although it is an academic work, the technical quality is remarkable. The painter demonstrates great mastery in rendering flesh tones (the skin) and the modeling of the face. Notably the finesse of details around the eyes and the softness of the beard, carried out with a precision superior to the standard religious productions of the era.

Oil on canvas.

Style: Academic. The work on the play of light and the gradients on the red tunic brings depth and relief that testify to the artist's craftsmanship.
