Silver sugar shaker with lid in 800 silver, weighing 323 g, dimensions 13 cm (W) × 16 cm (H) × 13 cm (D), made in Italy in the early 20th century, in good condition with signs of aging.
Description from the seller
Sugar shaker / container with lid in 800 silver (hallmarked 323 g) – small baroque-style handles and a decorative embossed shield – Italy, first half of the 20th century.
An object with a strong stage presence and decorative quality, characterized by an elegant and compact shape on a turned base, with frames intricately worked in classical motifs and a well-proportioned profile. The two side handles are particularly elaborate, featuring volute scrolls and foliate motifs in a barocchetto style, an element that makes the piece immediately recognizable and superior to ordinary silver sugar bowls.
On the front there is a raised decorative relief with a shield and ornamental motifs, of heraldic taste—a detail with a strong visual impact that gives the object additional character and refinement. The lid is finished with an upper knob in the shape of a pinecone/torch, consistent with the classical style of the overall piece.
The '800' hallmark is visible on the bottom.
• Material: silver 800/1000 (stamped)
• Weight: 323 g (as shown in the photo)
• Height: about 16 cm
Good overall condition with normal signs of wear and use commensurate with its age. Item intact and well preserved, complete with lid.
