Description from the seller

Pair of blue-glazed stoneware beer mugs – Germany – late 19th / early 20th century

Description
Elegant pair of German stoneware beer mugs in cobalt blue glaze, richly decorated with relief allegorical scenes, floral motifs, musical symbols, and inscriptions in German.
The tankards feature a tapered cylindrical body, decoration with oval panels and cartouches with celebratory inscriptions typical of late 19th-century German production, inspired by the world of guilds, music, and convivial traditions. Both are equipped with a pewter lid with a shaped grip and a maker’s mark impressed on the inside, a feature that confirms a quality production intended for traditional use but also for display. The base bears the inscription “GERMANY,” compatible with a post-1891 production intended for export, while the decorative style and techniques used clearly reference the late 19th century/very early 20th century.
A decorative and collectible lot with a strong visual impact, ideal for collectors of German beer mugs, historic breweries, or European folk objects.
