Description from the seller
Marantz Model 6170 is a high-quality direct-drive turntable from the latter half of the 1970s, built. This model features a servo-controlled direct-drive system that delivers a very stable and accurate rotational speed, resulting in a quiet and consistent playback of vinyl. The turntable offers electronic speed selection for both 33 and 45 rpm and is equipped with a pitch control for fine adjustment of the rotational speed. Additionally, the turntable provides both automatic and manual operation, a cue function for controlled lowering of the stylus, and an automatic shut-off at the end of the record.
The original S-shaped tonearm provides good tracking and is equipped with an OEM Marantz headshell and cartridge as pictured. The turntable is finished in the distinctive champagne-colored Marantz finish and comes with the original smoke-tinted dust cover. cosmetically, the unit is in good vintage condition with minimal signs of use and a scratch on the lid consistent with its age. Basic functionality has been tested and found to be working. Delivery includes a fixed signal cable and power cord and an OEM Marantz headshell with AT3600 stylus and cartridge.
This model was designed in the United States and manufactured in Japan, which is typical of the quality control and finish from that period. The dimensions are approximately 43 cm wide, 14 cm high, and 36 cm deep. The total weight is around 8 kilograms, which contributes to the stability and vibration-free operation of the player. Delivery and condition are in line with the photos.
