This hand-knotted Oriental rug shows the classic Sarough-Mir design, characterized by a densely repeated allover pattern of small, finely stylized floral motifs. The field is evenly composed and conveys a calm, balanced overall impression – typical for Mir variants, which rely more on rhythm and structure than on a central medallion.

The base tone of the field is a warm olive-brown and is enlivened by bright, contrasting pattern elements. The surrounding border is richly decorated and provides a clear frame with bold reds, blues, and creams.
