Description from the seller

Vintage 1950s Pewter Soup Tureen with Matching Base Plate - 23cm Height

Item Description: A superb and heavy 2-piece service set featuring a large soup tureen and its original matching base plate. Crafted in the 1950s, this set is made of high-quality pewter, displaying a beautiful aged patina with subtle golden and silvery reflections. The design follows a neoclassical inspiration, characterized by elegant vertical gadrooning (ribbed texture) on both the body and the lid.

The tureen is crowned with a sophisticated pinecone-shaped finial and features two ornate handles, while the entire piece stands on three delicately curved feet. This is a rare find for collectors of vintage tableware or those looking for a statement "Old World" decorative piece for a rustic or classic kitchen.
