Signed on the plate upper left margin.
L'Estampe Moderne's blind stamp on the bottom right corner.
Dimensions:
+Size of the sheet: approximately 40,5 x 30,7 cm / 15.9 x 12.1 in
Condition: In overall good condition, with some soft handling creases and some stains at the edges. Image very clean otherwise. Not framed.
Issued from the famous set « L’ Estampe Moderne ».
Published by Masson & Piazza, Paris.
Not unlike the Maitre de L'Affiche series, L'Estampe Moderne was a portfolio printed between 1897-99, published by Imprimerie Champenois, Paris, contained 24 monthly portfolios, with four original lithographs in each. Each was commissioned only for this series.
As well as Mucha, some of the contributing artists included Rhead, Meunier, Ibels, Steinlen, Willette and Grasset.
