Belgian Empire era silver salt cellar / mini jardinière with its original glass insert, dating to circa 1814–1831, in good condition, measuring 6 × 7 × 7 cm and weighing about 123 g total.

Early 19th Century Belgian Empire Silver Salt Cellar / Mini Jardinière with Glass Insert (1814–1831)
An elegant and finely crafted early 19th century Belgian silver salt cellar, dating to the Empire / Neoclassical period (circa 1814–1831).
The piece is richly decorated with classical mask motifs, palmette ornamentation and rests on three sculptural feet, all characteristic of the Empire style inspired by antiquity. The openwork silver frame holds its original glass insert, which fits perfectly and remains in very good condition.
Such table pieces were used as open salt cellars or miniature jardinières, forming refined decorative accents on formal dining tables during the early 19th century.
