Description from the seller

Two very rare Art Nouveau candlesticks from Osiris.

An extremely rare and beautiful pair of Art Nouveau candlesticks from the renowned Osiris factory, dating from the early 20th century.

The candlesticks are made of silver-plated metal and display the characteristic lines of Art Nouveau.

Both pieces are clearly marked with 'Osiris 948 Isis,' and one has the NH quality mark, which confirms that the design originates from the design school at the Bavarian Museum of Applied Arts under the guidance of the renowned designer Richard Riemerschmid.

Period: circa 1903

Material: silver-plated metal

Height: 29 cm

Condition: good, original state with age-related signs of use and a beautiful patina.

Each of the small trays has a small hairline crack or fine chip.

An ideal Christmas gift

A very rare, collectible pair of pieces of both artistic and historical significance – an excellent example of German Art Nouveau design.

They are in the style of WMF, Orivit, and Kayserzinn.
