Paper - China - 20th century

This early 20th Century hand-embellished work is a lovely classic scene; perhaps “in the style of” an earlier Master from centuries before its creation.
The delicate fine hand in detailing the women’s serene facial features, hair and ornaments, and garments is quite striking, especially viewed close-up.
Wonderful pencilled Mountain back-drop, with Water Fall, almost in a Dragon-like motif.
There are 4 prominent stains (as can be seen in photos), and there is slight wrinkling to the print, at the bottom right around the feet of the woman’s dress.
There are also several wrinkles, or tears, that run horizontally across the print, from top to bottom of the work, that seem like they may have been repaired.
