Contax, Zeiss Ikon Contax II Analogue camera

Rare Contax II camera from the 1930s, equipped with a Zeiss Sonnar 50 mm f/2 lens, both in chromed brass. Pre-war model, it has an uncoated white lens, with exceptional clarity, free of mold and visible scratches. The shutter requires repair: the curtain stays open when advancing the film.

The film advance knob is engraved with “Made in Germany,” indicating that this is a German-made Zeiss Contax II from the 1930s, designed specifically for the Chinese army during World War II and used to defeat the Japanese in Manchuria. This camera is highly valuable to collectors. Its appearance is as depicted in the photograph, with only light signs of use. It comes with its original leather case, bearing the unique serial number: 179712.
