The Group 70 was formed in Florence in 1963 and is composed of young artists and literary figures who express a critical approach to the passive behaviors induced by the mass media. The experimental and research method used has, as its founding characteristic in full neo-avant-garde spirit, interartistic exchange, i.e., the exchange and collaboration between artists and critics from different backgrounds and training.
The founders are Eugenio Miccini, Lamberto Pignotti, Lucia Marcucci and Luciano Ori. Subsequently, Giuseppe Chiari and Ketty La Rocca joined.
