Pair of solid silver dessert utensils (a serving shovel and a sprinkling spoon) by Alphonse Debain, circa 1900 in Art Nouveau style, with Iris décor, 950/1000 silver, Minerva 1st title hallmark, Paris origin, total weight 73 g, each approx. 17 cm high and 5 cm wide/deep, in good condition with minor signs of age-related wear.

Pair of solid silver dessert cutlery, 1st titre - Alphonse Debain - Iris decor
Description of the lot
Magnificent two-piece silver service for mignardises (petits fours and sugar dusting), Art Nouveau period (circa 1900), made in solid silver by the prestigious Parisian silversmith Alphonse Debain.
The set comprises a sugar-sifting spoon and a serving cake server, both richly decorated with naturalistic iris motifs in relief on the handles, typical of the Belle Époque floral style.
Notable details:
Openwork: The top sections (cuilleron and blade) feature a magnificent ornamental cutwork with scrolls and stylized floral motifs.
Quality: High-purity silver (950/1000).
Hallmarks: * State hallmark: Minerva 1st Title (present on the handle and the upper parts).
Maker's mark: Alphonse Debain (symbol of a coffee pot / kettle), active in Paris from 1883.
