Orma Milano - Writing desk - Metal

Rare and iconic single-sponda industrial writing desk, produced by the Milanese company Orma in the postwar period (likely the 1950s): this vintage design piece perfectly embodies the functional and robust style of the era. The structure is entirely painted in a distinctive military/olive green shade and retains its vintage patina, completed by chromed handles and trim that add a touch of refinement. The functional style is highlighted by the drawers: the first, for example, offers a small additional shelf very useful for placing small objects on it; the second was designed to store small items such as mechanical parts. The piece is preserved and there are no missing parts; the paint and the desk top are original and show, in some spots, signs of time, as described by the photos. The adjustable feet provide a system to increase the desk height by a few centimeters. A true classic of industrial design, ideal for a study or an office with character. Given the type, weight and dimensions of the item, it must be picked up directly at the seller's location at the buyer's expense, but I am available to collaborate to define with the buyer the modalities of any possible shipment.
