Description from the seller

There is nothing better when it comes to conversion. It is in excellent condition and perfectly functioning.

The Weiss ADC2 is the successor to the renowned two-channel A/D converter ADC1-MK2.

The ADC2 uses cutting-edge A/D chips in our proven configuration with 'correlation technique', which reduces converter imperfections.

The analog input stages are balanced from the input connectors through to the converter chips. A high-quality microphone preamplifier is built-in as standard.

The supported sampling frequencies are 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz.

The output formats are AES/EBU in a single- or two-wire configuration, S/PDIF, and FireWire for direct connection to computers.

Synchronization can be internal or external via AES/EBU or BNC (Wordclock).

The integrated digital peak limiter allows you to set generous headroom on the analog inputs and still achieve a full-scale signal at the converter output.

A wide bar chart shows the level at the A/D input, the output level, and the gain reduction of the limiter mentioned above.

The output word length can be reduced from 24 to 16 bits thanks to the built-in POW-R dithering. It is also possible to have a 24-bit output and another at 16 bits. This feature is useful when a backup copy is required, for example on a DAT.

The sensitivity of the analog input can be set in 6 dB steps via a relay-controlled attenuator. A further gain control is implemented in the DSP chip in the digital domain.

Both channel 1 and channel 2 are completely independent, except for the sampling rate and the dithering settings.

The AES/EBU sync input can be used as a digital audio input. This enables limiting and/or applying dithering to digital audio signals. The peak-hold function can be used to monitor a transfer and check for any overloads.
