"Honeycomb" model vase in aqua-green glass by Pierre d'Avesn, 1930s. Pierre D'Avesn (1901-1990) was a sculptor and draftsman. He graduated from the École des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where he was a student of François Decorchemont. He was hired by Lalique, where he worked for ten years, and by Daum between 1930 and 1936. His works are characteristic of the Art Deco movement.

The vase is about 17.5 cm tall and the top diameter is 17.5 cm. At the bottom, molded into the body, it is marked 'P. d'Avesn / Made in France'. (See the last photos, but difficult to photograph).

Given the age, the vase is in very good used condition with limited signs of aging. Small enclosed glass bubbles are normal for the production process at that time.
