AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful globe from around 1917/1918, the early period of Paul Räth's publishing house in Leipzig.
This is one of the first series published by this publisher. There are very few Räth globes that still show Saint Petersburg, like this one.
The globe is in good condition with a crease around the China region.
The globe has a brass half-meridian and stands on a beautiful so-called 'faux-bamboo' base.
This faux-bamboo style was very popular in the early years of the 20th century. Nowadays such standards are very rare and highly sought after by collectors.
All in all, a real eye-catcher.
Take a good look at the photos; they form an integral whole together with the description.
