The piece features a shallow, rounded bowl (diameter 9.5 cm) with a beaded or reeded rim, raised on three ornate cast feet modeled as claw-and-ball (or paw) supports accented by acanthus leaf or foliate motifs—classic Rococo elements popular in Hanau revival work. The long, outward-curving handle (contributing to the 30 cm overall width) is silver-mounted with a turned wooden grip (likely fruitwood or similar, insulated for safe handling when hot), secured by a ferrule or rivet. The bowl interior shows fine hand-finishing with light concentric polishing marks, while the exterior and feet display crisp chasing and casting. A period monogram "E.M.R."
