This ancient perfume bottle, a Chatelaine (the term derives from Signora del Castello)
features a very rich and well-conceived workmanship, still perfectly functioning.
Since there are no stamps, even though inside the cap and outside the opening one reads an engraving XIIII,
a test was performed that detects the presence of silver (if the surface reacts turning red as in the photo it is silver; otherwise it remains yellow translucent).
Inside a glass vial to contain the perfume.
At the top there perhaps indicates the absence of a ring (photo attached) which presumably served to pass a brooch that held the vial to the dress,
apart from this small anomaly, considering its time, the chatelaine is in excellent condition.
