Beautiful oil painting of 'Memento Mori', created on a round wooden panel.
It was probably produced around the middle of the 20th century, it comes from ecclesiastical circles in Salento (Southern Italy), it is unsigned.
A skull is depicted at the bottom and, at the top, a white scroll bearing the word MORS—symbols that remind man of the brevity of life and the futility of worldly things.
The quality of the painting is extremely high, as you can see from the photos; the colors are exceptional and the light effects are outstanding.
