Royal Copenhagen - Nils Thorsson - Table lamp - Read - Ceramic

A striking table lamp from the Baca series is offered, designed by Nils Thorsson for Royal Copenhagen. The ceramic lamp base displays the Baca series' characteristic relief panels with abstracted figures and ornamental motifs, which were hand-modeled and glazed in warm brown, beige, and ochre tones. The slightly variegated glaze emphasizes the sculptural surface and gives the object a lively depth. In combination with the simple, restrained shade, a harmonious contrast between decorative ceramics and functional design is created. The lamp dates from the second half of the 20th century and is regarded as a typical example of the successful fusion of handicraft and modern Scandinavian design for which Nils Thorsson and Royal Copenhagen are internationally known.

The Corpus has no chips or cracks. The lampshade has age-related stains.

The goods are wrapped in padding foil and enclosed in bio-foam within a double-walled carton, shipped via DHL.
