The condition of the jug is fair to good, with noticeable signs of aging and patina, which is typical for an object of this age. There are some dents and irregularities in the metal visible; there are no leaks or cracks.

The tin hot-water bottle dates from the mid-19th century (approximately 1840–1860). It originates from the renowned Dutch manufacturer Oud-Hollandsche Tingieterij Meeuws en Zn. N.V. of The Hague, the Netherlands.

Diameter: measure the widest side yourself (typically around 24 cm).
Height: measure the height including the lid (typically around 14 cm).

The jug has a natural, matte silver-gray to dark gray tin color.
