Antique French table clock dating from circa 1880–1920, in a gilt bronze/brass case with Rococo ornamentation, mechanical two-train movement by Japy Frères & Cie with a 400-day power reserve, enamel dial, height 45 cm, width 26 cm, depth 15 cm, weight 6000 g, winding key included, strikes on the half hour with one bell, in good condition but not in working order and requiring servicing.

Antique French mantel clock dating from the late 19th century (circa 1880–1900).
The clock is housed in a richly decorated gilt bronze/brass case with beautiful rococo ornamentation, scrollwork details and an urn-shaped finial on top. A true decorative piece of French craftsmanship, ideal for a fireplace mantel or antique collection.
The clock retains its original mechanical movement stamped:
“Japy Frères & Cie”
one of the most respected and important French clockmakers of the 19th century.
The dial is enamel with Roman numerals and decorative central engraving.
