French Art Deco bronze sculpture titled Pinguïn by Bronze Garanti Paris, signed JB Déposé Paris, in patinated bronze with régule, depicting a penguin with a chick, about 40 cm high by 17 cm wide by 15 cm deep, weighing 4128 g, including a pedestal, dating from circa 1920–1950 and in excellent vintage condition.

Vintage French statue – Penguin with chick – JB Déposé Paris
Origin: France
Period: c. 1920–1950
Material: régule with bronze patina
Marking: JB, filed in Paris
Show: penguin with chick
Condition: good vintage condition, with light signs of wear appropriate to its age.
Includes: pedestal
An elegant and atmospheric French vintage sculpture of a penguin with its chick, crafted in régule (zinc alloy) with a warm bronze patina. The sculpture exudes calm, care, and steadfastness, and serves as a striking focal point in any interior.
Marked on the underside “JB Déposé Paris,” a registration pointing to a model filed in Paris in the first half of the 20th century. Such animal figures were particularly popular in the interwar period and were produced as high-quality decorative art objects.
