Description from the seller

Extremely rare black tulip vase with lion heads and lion's paws – perfect condition

This impressive black tulip vase is an exceptional and extremely rare example within the tradition of the tulip vase. The vase is richly decorated with bold lion heads as finials and stands on elegant lion's legs, giving the whole an almost sculptural appearance.

Tulip vases trace their origins to the 17th century and were designed to present each tulip individually— a tribute to the tulip as a status symbol. This vase is a special, expressive interpretation of that tradition, blending classic styling with a striking and monumental design.

The vase has been in my possession since the 1980s and is in excellent condition.
No damage
No cracks, chips, or restorations.
Glossy, jet-black glaze in very good condition.

Because of the combination of color, size, and animal ornamentation, this is a very rare collectible that seldom appears on the market. It is suitable as both a functional tulip vase and an independent work of art.

Shipping
The vase will be packed with the utmost care and professionalism to ensure safe shipping.

A unique opportunity for the enthusiast or collector to acquire an exceptional tulip vase with strong historical and decorative value.
