*Before entering our warehouse, cleaned at a laundry specialized in hand-knotted rugs, then not used again.
This is a hand-knotted Oriental rug, made from durable, natural materials. The way it is knotted and the diversity of patterns make this rug unique and emphasize its authentic, artisanal character.
It is an excellent usage rug with an extremely long lifespan.
This is a lightly used, cleaned rug that can be laid out as is. A special & beloved rug, a very finely knotted top piece. Hand-knotted in Turkmenistan, by the Teke tribes. Comparable to the better-known Yomut, but even more exclusive. These Teke tribes did not knot rugs as often as the larger Yomut tribes. Therefore rarer and full of stories, open to personal interpretation. A wonderful rug made of 100% wool, hand-knotted somewhere between 1930 and 1950 and still in unusually good condition for its age.
Main colour: Red
Accent colours: Cream and brown- and blue-toned
Special features: Rich abrash (natural color variations); Many fringes; Beautiful, clean and fresh; Gorgeous sheen; Depending on the viewing angle this rug has a lighter and a darker side; Rare object; Finely knotted; Large & impressive rug full of stories; 100% wool.
Signs of use: Minimal, barely visible signs of use, inevitable with rugs of this age.
