An entirely illustrated notebook of musical scores featuring the great names of contemporary music. The very form of the note is completely re-examined and mocked by the illustrator's black pen.

Benoît Jacques is the son of a journalist father and an artist mother. His schooling is, by his own account, 'a total disaster.' He creates a graphic score titled Play It by Ear and, facing rejection from publishers, he founds his own publishing house in 1989: Benoît Jacques Books.
