Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Nikon 35mm f/2.5 lens, Series E, dating from the 1970s–1980s, in very good condition and tested and working.
Description from the seller
Here is an interesting Nikon Lens Series E 35mm f/2.5 up for auction, a compact wide-angle lens produced in Japan in the early 1980s. This lens is part of the storied "Series E" (economy), a line designed by Nikon to offer more affordable and lightweight optics to pair with compact cameras like the Nikon EM, while still maintaining optical standards that are quite respectable.
The lens stands out for its incredible compactness and lightness (weighing only about 150 g), making it the ideal companion for street photography and travel, where discretion is essential. The 5-element-in-5-group optical design offers sharp, high-contrast rendering, with a natural perspective slightly wider than the usual 50mm, perfect for contextualizing the subject. The maximum aperture of f/2.5 is an excellent compromise between brightness and compact size.
Aesthetically, the specimen is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos: the lenses are clear, the 7-blade diaphragm is clean and snappy, and the focus ring operates smoothly. Being a lens with AI coupling, it is compatible with most Nikon manual-focus and digital SLRs (with limitations on some entry-level models), as well as easily adaptable to mirrorless cameras of any brand.
